Tonight I finally got around to reading CATWOMAN “When In Rome”, a hardcover collecting the 2005 DC Comics’ 6 issue mini-series written by Jeph Loeb with art by Tim Sale.
Selina Kyle travels to Rome, seeking the truth about her birth parents, with the Riddler tagging along, because he is so good at solving tricky puzzles! And why is Batman always appearing in Catwoman’s dreams?
The writing by Loeb is truly superb, not just in script and story, but the dialog perfectly catches the vibe of Catwoman’s wit and humor. It’s also great to see the Riddler, who I consider to be a greatly under-used character in DC’s universe.
Sale’s art is typically flawless, as his style also seems to blend well with the architecture and environment of Rome.
This is another awesome Loeb/Sale experience and highly recommended for Catwoman fans!
