Issue 5 is the conclusion to this conspiracy/action/thriller from Boom! Studios.
This final chapter for the most part is an exciting read, but hits a bit of a brick wall towards the end, as more explanations are carried out, before a sudden ending that is truly anti-climatic.
Overall, The Foundation is enjoyable, but frustrated me by only scratching the surface of it’s unlimited possibilities. Candidly speaking, I don’t believe this comic book series delivered anywhere near what it promised. I would have preferred that the comic was expanded to a 12 issue storyline, instead.
Boom! Studios is scheduled to release a trade paperback collecting all 5 issues in July, and in hindsight I wish I “waited for the trade”, as I’m sure it will be a more coherent and better reading experience in that form.
