GHOST WHISPERER: The Haunted #2 (of 5)

I thought issue 1 was a good comic book presentation of the TV show, and even though I’m not really a fan of the television series, I was impressed enough to get issue 2.

Issue 2 is just as good, perhaps even better, again following the formula of the show (and issue 1). Ghost Whisperer Melinda Gordon intervenes a teenage schoolgirl that is haunting another schoolgirl whom she believes contributed to her death.

Running as a subplot, the overall storyline involves the Egyptian spirit of Osiris influence over the deceased schoolgirls, sparking their desire for revenge and retribution.

It’s surprisingly well done, as I get a real feel for the characters and I recommend this comic book series for fans of the show.

LOCKE & KEY #3

LOCKE & KEY has emeged as the near-perfect comic book, brilliantly blending an intelligent script by Joe Hill, truly intriguing characters with expressive art by Gabriel Rodriguez, highlighted by great coloring by Jay Fotos.

Issue 3 focuses on fifteen year old Kinsey, a girl trying to blend-in, but her past inevitably catches up, and her life is unable to be as normal as she wishes it to be.

This series is highly recommended, but is suitable for mature audiences, due to its explicit language.
