DMZ volume 4 “Friendly Fire” tpb contains issues 18 to 22.
Journalist Matty investigates a dark dividing incident from the early days of the near-future civil war, hearing recollections of the event from different points of view. Perhaps not the most original idea, but the structure and conclusion was well executed.
More than before, I really enjoyed the art in these issues. The muted tones on some pages are awesome. Issue 18 is especially excellent.
It’s a good, consistent volume and could probably be enjoyed by someone who hadn’t even read the previous three tpbs.
