RASL #1

Rasl #1

I put off buying this for about a week, then decided to get it, as I have a nagging feeling I will otherwise regret letting this comic series pass me by. RASL is Jeff Smith’s latest comic book series (published by Cartoon Books), and it a lot more darker than his all-ages Bone series.

Rasl is about a thief that appears to have the ability to jump through time and space (hmm, didn’t I recently see a crappy Hayden Christensen film about that?). A good start…

Terry Moore’s ECHO #1

Echo #1

Terry Moore’s new comic book series ECHO, published by Abstract Studio, is weird!

The art is superb and the story is intriguing, though the first issue is a very quick read.

Can’t wait for issue #2 next month!

Comic Book Comics #1

Comic Book Comics is a new series chronicling the birth and history of comics books (and animation) in an innovative way = in an actual comic book!

This first issue details the earliest newspaper comic strips from the late 1800s, to the birth of Superman and the early 1940s.

The series also follows the rise within the industry of comic book legends Will Eisner and Jack Kirby.

A lengthy read that presents good value for money. Issue 2 comes out July, 2008.
